Good news, bad news for the 'Du (Aug 16, 2006) Ahh, VuDu heds. Your poster is in a sad mood. "Why the long face, Mr. VuDu?" Well first, let's have a bit of good news: The past few gigs were AWESOME! The Deja VuDu ladies came through! Lina busted it out at Hot Shots, just liked the band planned for! Deja VuDu debuted at the Bone, in Deep Ellum....in 102 degree heat...but was overall a good show. Much thanks goes out to Wayne Tullos and Will Becker for helping us out while our rythym section was dispersed about the country. Thanks guys, for helping us out. And now for the sad news: After Anissa freeking rocked the f***ing house at the Do Drop In, of all the changes that have occured in the band, it is my saddest duty to report that Anissa has decided to leave the band. Admittedly, one of the saddest days in VuDu history. Not enough can be said about what Anissa brought to the band. She "learned us well"! We will miss Anissa, and she will always command a spot in our hearts! So as you read this, please send a good VuDu vibe out to Anissa! We miss ya, Sweetie! Don't forget to check the calendar for our shows. Remember, if it weren't for you, it would'nt be worth VuDu'ing! Hope to see y'all soon! |
