Halloween @ Thunderhorse X'd! (Oct. 9, 2005) Well, well..where do I start? Apologies, first, for not having a prompt VuDu update. It's been kinda busy in VuDu land. First, Flip, our bass player, has decided it's in his best interest to leave the band. Deja VuDu wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors. We are presently auditioning bassists and hope to have a new VuDu'r shortly. The most disappointing news for this update; due to a scheduling misunderstanding, Deja VuDu will NOT be performing at the Halloween party at the THUNDERHORSE SALOON on Oct. 29th. The management at the THUNDERHORSE assured us that they don't make mistakes in their booking practices, so the misunderstanding was obviously the mistake of the 3 representatives of Deja VuDu. We offer our most sincere apologies to Errol and Virginia Bordelon, as they were intending to have Virginia's special birthday party in conjunction with the Halloween gig. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VIRGINIA!!!! Don't forget Stumpy's on Oct. 20th! Deja VuDu mounts an assault in the Battle of the Bands. Four bands will compete to be a weekly winner. After Deja VuDu (hopefully) wins the weekly, it's on to the "playoffs" on Nov. 3rd. Deja VuDu NEEDS YOU to come and support us at Stumpy's in Arlington. We went and checked it out last Thursday...a nice place. Pleasant surroundings and COLD beer. The Fat Tire Ale was exceptionally tasty...toooooo tasty for this old head, if you know what I mean! So, come on out and give us your great support on Oct. 20th at Stumpy's. It's a Thursday nite, but everybody needs a weekend primer, right!?!? Check back soon, should be more info in a day or two.
