Lina Mayoux was born in Toronto, Canada and has lived and travelled widely in the United Kingdom. While still at an early age, her family moved to Plano, TX. She has had a life-long love for music, starting when she was still learning to talk. Her official start was in the first grade, when she joined the school choir. She enjoyed the class and learning more about her musical interest so much that she made sure to rejoin each year throughout her attendance of elementary, middle, and high school. Since graduation, she has continued to express herself through song. She has even claimed herself a "Karaoke Addict" since she and her friends would make it a priority for their get togethers. As a result of winning numerous karaoke competitions around the North Dallas area she was ready to go to the next level. In 2004 she was scouted at one of these competitions and was requested by an Arista Records representative to record a promotional demo. More recently in 2005 she was asked by the Texas Tech hockey team to sing the National Anthem acapella for the opening of their season at The Colliseum in Lubbock, TX . Lina has had a variety of experiences, and her singing style reflects it. She enjoys all kinds of music and can fluctuate from heartfelt ballads to rough and rowdy rock and roll. She has always been mindful and appreciated her talent, and loves that the opportunity has presented itself for her to share it with a band of accomplished musicians as well as participating audiences. |
