About...Gary His launch into music came in 1964 at the age of six. Yes, that's right...mom signed him up for piano lessons and he took them for two years. During the 5th and 6th grade Gary studied violin, thus an introduction to a stringed instrument. But it wasn't until his 15th birthday in 1972 he got his first guitar. "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "Closer to Home" were two of the first rock songs Gary learned. Gary joined his first band in 1974. From 1975-1977, with various bands, he played backyard BBQs and parties. In the fall of 1977 Gary joined "Bad Habit", after answering an ad in the local "Bargain Mart", who he was with until 1982. During this same time he was also a music teacher(guitar) in a local music store, Bob Schmidt's Music Plaza. After leaving "Bad Habit" in 1982, Gary took time to raise a family. Today he has three handsome sons -- Gary Jr., Joshua and Matthew -- and his outrageous wife of twenty-five years, Janis. With the last son in college, Gary picked the guitar back up in 2004. "Deja VuDu" formed in late January 2005 and they are "Rockin' the Free World" around DFW clubs, bars, events and private parties.
